Best and Worst Dressed at the 125th Anniversary Gala for the Metropolitan Opera

Sunday evening, Hollywood's fashion-obsessed made a trip to the Lincoln Center in NYC to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the Metropolitan Opera. The event was sponsored in part by Yves Saint Laurent, so most of the A-List attendees chose YSL for the fête, some more successfully than others.

Why so glum, Ginnifer Goodwin? Your strapless YSL dress is really very chic for the season, and the cuff on your left wrist is way hot. If you're upset about your hair, well, don't worry, it'll grow back.

Diane Kruger is only ever various degrees of stunning (even when she resembles Magilla Gorilla), and in this blue YSL creation, she nears goddess level.

Becki Newton 's green shimmery pocketed dress is fab, and she gets bonus points for trying those YSL cage heels. They don't quite git the look, but they're certainly not predictable.

Amber Rose looks great without the sunglasses - and I love the neckline of this white dress - but the amount of thigh being peek-a-booed is a bit much. Still, she outshines Kanye, and that's no small feat.

The color of Emily Mortimer's shimmery YSL dress is great, but this pose is just so awkward, I can't tell if I love or hate the dress itself.

Actress Parker Posey also donned burgundy for the gala, and while I like the '20s vibe she gives off, I'm not mad about the look as a whole. I sort of wish she were actually pregnant with Keanu Reeves' baby, as was rumored a couple of months ago.

Is Brooke Shields wearing a formal jumpsuit? More importantly, is Lipstick Jungle ever coming back?

Juliana Margulies always had such fantastic curly hair. Why does it look like she hasn't washed it in days?

Claudia Schiffer's long, partialy sheer, shapeless dress does nothing for me. Whatsoever. Not even on a supermodel.

I'm digging Mary-Kate Olsen's hair and makeup, but I feel as if I've seen her wear the kimono look many times before...

Ginnifer Goodwin looks sunny in Sydney

The rain may have been pouring, but Ginnifer Goodwin made a sunny addition to the Sydney premiere of He's Just Not That Into You last night.

In a Brian Reyes mustard satin belted dress, accessorised with black cut-out heels and an umbrella, the actress brought her signature brand of sweet style to the Aussie red carpet.

Goodwin plays the lead in the ensemble comedy, which has an A-list packed cast that includes Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore and Jennifer Connelly.

And though the Big Love actress may be the least established of the pack, she's raced away with the film's fashion crown, promoting it in a selection of delectable looks.

We loved the adorable tangerine minidress she chose for the LA premiere, but our favourite look has to go to the oh-so-chic white ruffled shift she donned for the Season 3 party for Big Love back in January.

Goodwin has quickly become a Hollywood fashion favourite, and was a regular on the catwalk front rows last season. We can't wait to see which shows she'll be gracing when New York Fashion Week commences next week!
